A REAL achievement for Ted Rogers School’s Real Estate Management program

Ted Rogers School of Management’s Real Estate Management program is the #1 school in Canada in the Real Estate Academic Leadership (REAL) Rankings for 2017–2021, and is tied for #25 worldwide (with five other schools).

“It is a tremendous accomplishment to have our Real Estate Management program included in this international ranking because not only is our department relatively new, but it is smaller than many of our competitors,” says Dr. Cynthia Holmes, Associate Dean, Faculty and Academic, and Associate Professor, Real Estate Management. “This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our faculty who continue to produce leading research for top-rated journals.” 

The REAL Institution Rankings highlight intellectual contributions to real estate knowledge based on publication productivity in the top three real estate journals: The Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, The Journal of Real Estate Research and Real Estate Economics. The current rankings encompass journal articles that were published in a journal issue, published online or listed as accepted and forthcoming as of early September 2021.

The Ted Rogers School’s Real Estate Management program had a total of 11 publications during this time period, tied with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, DePaul University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, University of South Florida and Villanova University. This is the seventh release of the REAL rankings, and the first time that Ryerson University is eligible to be considered for the list.
