CCS Scheduled Maintenance and Outages

Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of activities necessary to keep information and technology services running, such as software patches, fixes and upgrades, hardware upgrade. Additional outages may occur as a result of unforeseen hardware or software issues. In these cases, CCS strives to provide as much notice as possible.

No alternate service will be available if a system or an application is not available due to the scheduled maintenance or outage, unless explicitly indicated in the table bellow for the particular system/application.

management for CAS "Remember Me" feature. Access to Account Activation, RMS Admin and Self Service will be intermittent during this time frame.

Enable "Remember Me" feature for Two factor authentication. Users with an existing CAS session may be re-prompted to login again.

    Move the load balanced applications to a new application firewall. This change will continue every Friday till completion. No outage expected.
  • Friday, March 6, 2015 from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. until completion - in progress
    Continue with migration from public to private IPs in Data Centre. No user impact is anticipated.
  • Friday, March 20, 2015 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends until completion
    Firmware upgrade on FC switches in DC1.
  • Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
    Install Maxwell Render Suite licensing service on existing licensing server.
  • Friday, March 27, 2015 from 6:30 a.m. to 7 a.m.

    Firewall updates. Users may experience some short interruptions to and from the Internet.

    - COOP stack upgrade from BPS to 4800
  • Friday, March 27, 2015 from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
    Move rdm.ryerson.ca & rdma.ryerson.ca to the external prod F5, and move nolij.spi.ryerson.ca, courses.spi.ryerson.ca, bb90ap.spi.ryerson.ca, bb91tr.spi.ryerson.ca, bb91uga.spi.ryerson.ca & cqapps.dev.ryerson.ca to the external semiprod F5.
