CCS Scheduled Maintenance and Outages

Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of activities necessary to keep information and technology services running, such as software patches, fixes and upgrades, hardware upgrade. Additional outages may occur as a result of unforeseen hardware or software issues. In these cases, CCS strives to provide as much notice as possible.

No alternate service will be available if a system or an application is not available due to the scheduled maintenance or outage, unless explicitly indicated in the table bellow for the particular system/application.

Additional Scheduled Changes

  • Fridays, starting August 15, 2014 between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. until completion - in progress
    Move the load balanced applications to a new application firewall. This change will continue every Friday till completion. No outage expected.
  • Tuesday, February  17, 2015 to Tuesday, March 3, 2015 - in progress
    Upgrade ESX Servers in DC1 from v5.1 to 5.5 and update firmware.
  • Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
    Apply OS security patches, add new site dnsname apps1.ccs.ryerson.ca, replace existing SSL certificate and enable redirect from ads1.ccs.ryerson.ca to apps1.ccs.ryerson.ca.
    Ads1.ccs.ryerson.ca/upoapa, Ads1.ccs.ryerson.ca/casst and Ads1.ccs.ryerson.ca/casstdemo will not be available during this time frame.
  • Friday, February 27, 2015 from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
    Network Switch software code upgrade in Image Arts Building.
