CCS Scheduled Maintenance and Outages

Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of activities necessary to keep information and technology services running, such as software patches, fixes and upgrades, hardware upgrade. Additional outages may occur as a result of unforeseen hardware or software issues. In these cases, CCS strives to provide as much notice as possible.

No alternate service will be available if a system or an application is not available due to the scheduled maintenance or outage, unless explicitly indicated in the table bellow for the particular system/application.

Additional Scheduled Changes

  • Fridays, starting August 15, 2014 between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. until completion - in progress
    Move the load balanced applications to a new application firewall. This change will continue every Friday till completion. No outage expected.
  • Friday, October 3, 2014 between 6 a.m. and noon
    Patch BASH Shell Vulnerability in all production Red Hat Linux servers. Users will not be impacted by this change.
  • Friday, October 3, 2014 between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.
    WordPress upgrade to version 4.0. Users may experience a brief outage of their blog during this process.
  • Friday, October 3, 2014 between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
    Raise domain and forest functional levels for ac.ryerson.ca domain to 2008R2.
  • Sunday, October 5, 2014 between 10 a.m. and noon
    Drive firmware upgrade on EqualLogic SAN in DC2. Users will not be impacted by this change.
  • Friday, October 3, 2014 between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
    System maintenance on phoenix.prodint and ryecast.ryerson.ca. phoenix.prodint and ryecast.ryerson.ca will not be available during this time frame.
