CCS Scheduled Maintenance and Outages

Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of activities necessary to keep information and technology services running, such as software patches, fixes and upgrades, hardware upgrade. Additional outages may occur as a result of unforeseen hardware or software issues. In these cases, CCS strives to provide as much notice as possible.

No alternate service will be available if a system or an application is not available due to the scheduled maintenance or outage, unless explicitly indicated in the table bellow for the particular system/application.

Additional Scheduled Changes

  • Friday, June 26, 2015 between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. until completed - in progress
    VRF1 (admin), VRF2 (acad), VRF3 (departmental feeds) point-to-point connections will be moved from public IP space to private IPs. The change will be performed on all VRF enabled core/distribution/edge Avaya 8800s. No outage is expected.
  • Weekdays starting on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 6 a.m. until 8 a.m. until completed - in progress
    Network switches and switch stacks will be upgraded on a continual basis throughout the Ryerson Campus.  Areas affected will be notified of outages in advance of commencement of work.
  • Friday, July 10, 2015, from 10 a.m. at noon until Thursday, July 16, 2015 at noon - in progress and extended until August 6, 2015
    Instructors will be unable to request Blackboard course shells starting Friday, July 10, 2015 at noon.
    Brightspace by D2L course shell request will be temporarily unavailable from Friday, July 10, 2015 at noon to Monday, July 27, 2015 at noon.
    Account activation, Self Service and RMS Administration will not be available on Sunday from 7 a.m. until noon.
  • Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
    DNS profile and the iRule necessary for Global Protect will be applied to intns[1-4] VIPs on the F5 Load Balancer.Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
    Update licensing for Solidworks. Users will not be able to launch Solidworks during the update.
  • Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
    Update licensing for RhinoCam plugin for Rhino services. Users will not be able to launch RhinoCam plugin during the update.
  • Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
    Add a new Group Policy Object to ADMN computers’ OUs to change settings of standard computer settings to allow migration of admn computers in the new ruad domain.
