CCS Scheduled Maintenance and Outages

Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of activities necessary to keep information and technology services running, such as software patches, fixes and upgrades, hardware upgrade. Additional outages may occur as a result of unforeseen hardware or software issues. In these cases, CCS strives to provide as much notice as possible.

No alternate service will be available if a system or an application is not available due to the scheduled maintenance or outage, unless explicitly indicated in the table bellow for the particular system/application.

Additional Scheduled Changes

  • Friday, May 29, 2015 from 8:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
    Update to the RyecastUploader tool's features. Ryecast portal will still be available but the upload service using the RyecastUploader tool will not be available during this time frame.
  • Friday, May 29, 2015 from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m.
    User setup for D2L production. RMS admin, Account Activation and Self Service will not be available during this time frame.
  • Friday, May 29, 2015 from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
    Link test and reboot of W177C Core Router. There is a possibility of a momentary outage to all VRFs.  This includes Admin, Academic and Departmental feeds.
  • Friday, May 29, 2015 from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
    Upgrade of network stack in ENG – North End of 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors. All workstations and wireless access points will have no network connectivity during the upgrade.
  • Friday May 29, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
    Join old VDX6720 switches to new Dell S6000 switches.

 

Future/Pending Changes

  • Saturday June 20, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    Upgrade firmware on Compellent FC storage in DC1. Expand tier1 (SSD) storage to Compellent FC storage in DC1. No outage is expected during this time frame.
