ASL 601

Advanced American Sign Language II

This course, taught in ASL, is for intermediate-to-advanced students wishing to further develop complex concepts, narrative structures and registers. Students will translate written texts into ASL using proper structures and develop their knowledge of ASL culture. By the end of this course, students should be able to comfortably lead conversations involving several people, express opinions and decisions, and incorporate a variety of classifiers in context appropriate structures. Students with restricted dexterity may find this course challenging.
