BLG 101

Anatomy and Physiology I

A comprehensive investigation into the cells and tissues of the human body. Specific content will include homeostasis and how it is maintained in the healthy human body. An exploration of cellular physiology and the nucleus as the control center of the cell will set the stage for the semester. Following this, an investigation into the four primary tissues of the body (epithelium tissue, connective tissue; muscle tissue, and nervous tissue), and the basics of the nervous system. This course is not available for credit in the Bachelor of Science programs in Biology, Biomedical Science or Chemistry.
