Structure and Bonding

This course examines the various theories of atomic structure and molecular bonding as well as their application in explaining the physical and chemical properties of atoms and molecules. Topics include Lewis theory, valence bond theory, symmetry and group theory, crystal field theory, donor-acceptor chemistry and molecular orbital theory of molecules and extended structures.
