Chinese Conversation and Pronunciation

This intermediate course is intended to enhance oral proficiency of non-native speakers of Chinese by focusing on vocabulary, syntax, auditive comprehension and intonation. Students improve their language skills through a range of oral practice activities, including the analysis of audiovisual materials, films and plays as well as discussion of written texts from newspapers and advertisements. In addition to the International Phonetic Alphabet, both the Hànyu Pinyin phonemic system and Simplified Chinese characters are used.
