Media for Social Change

This course will examine how media technologies inform social change, with a specific focus on the forms of participatory culture that have transpired since the advent of social media. Students will learn about the fundamental cultural shifts of the late 20th century and early 21st century and examine how artists have responded to the changing media landscapes of that period.
