Pharmacotherapy

This course introduces concepts of pharmacotherapeutics. This course provides an overview of basic concepts in pharmacology, pharmacy and therapeutics relevant to the practice of midwifery in Ontario. Unifying concepts include pharmacokinetics, toxicology, adverse reactions in pregnancy and lactation and the neonate. A variety of evaluation methods will be used.

MWF 113 or enrollment in Post-Baccalaureate Midwifery Program.
