Midwifery Care Clerkship

In this final clinical course the emphasis will be on clinical skills and decision making. The student will be expected to act as a primary caregiver and provide midwifery care in all phases of childbirth care in all settings. Students will plan care and make clinical decisions with minimal supervision. Students participate in seminars which focus on case review and reflective practice. Tutorials and clinical placement occur in separate semesters. This course is graded on a pass/fail basis.
