Interpersonal Comm/Counselling Nutrition

This course will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct a structured interview, including counselling individuals to adopt healthier eating behaviours and food choices. Students will develop and practice effective communication and counselling skills through in-class simulations, group and partner activities. This course will focus on active listening, ways of responding, identifying appropriate interventions and conveying a clear message. Students will deepen their learning through a series of self-reflection exercises.
