Philosophy of Mind

Through both classical and contemporary texts this course will examine selected issues regarding human (and other) minds, such as: How are mind and brain related? What is consciousness? How are thought and language related? Can, or could, computers think? Do non-human animals think? Can the mind be understood as a product of natural selection?
