Photography and the Screen

This course introduces students to the tools, applications and creative methods used in making and interpreting of photographic images in a screen-based environment using digital applications and sound. The emphasis is on cross-disciplinary instruction in an inter-media working environment. Students will initially explore methods of photographic imaging relative to other media; this exploration is continued in the context of understanding time-based and moving-image systems, digital imaging, electronic sound and image formation, and recording and sequencing.
