Spanish Writing Composition

This course complements SPN510 and is for students with a strong competency in Spanish wishing to develop vocabulary and improve their writing. Through writing exercises, the course emphasizes clear explanation of Spanish grammar, differences/parallels between written and oral Spanish, use of precise terminology, and development of variety in writing style. Assignments are based on excerpts from essays, literary works, press articles, etc., chosen to illustrate styles and levels of contemporary written Spanish.
