Greg Elmer appointed Director of The Catalyst

This summer we will be opening a new faculty-wide research hub called the Catalyst at FCAD, on the second floor of the RCC. I am pleased to announce that Greg Elmer from the School of Professional Communication has been appointed as Director of the Catalyst. In this role, Greg will work with Associate Dean Charles Davis, in providing operational leadership in the space and in supporting interdisciplinary research opportunities and programming.

Greg has achieved numerous successes in advancing areas of research and has held many leadership roles, making him an ideal director for the Catalyst. As the Bell Media Research Chair, he has been dedicated to researching and advancing the potential creative applications of new communication technologies. Under his leadership, the Infoscape Research Lab has completed research for a number of essays, journals and reports including the analysis of the Signal Social CEO Index. Over the last year, Greg has done a great job as Interim Chair of the School of Professional Communication.

The Catalyst is set to be one of Ryerson's most important SRC hubs and I look forward to the energy, innovation and thought leadership that will emerge from this collaborative space.
