On the first Wednesday of every November, we invite faculty and staff with students in grade nine to take their kids to work for a behind-the-scenes look at working at Ryerson University.
Students not only get an introduction to their parent's roles, but also learn valuable information about the variety of career paths that exist and how post-secondary education can help take them there.
The morning will kick off with registration and light refreshments. Students will take part in interactive learning sessions on topics like online brands and digital footprints, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how technology is impacting the future of tourism. Students with smartphones are invited to bring them along for these interactive sessions.
A lunch will be available for parents and Provost and Vice-President, Academic Michael Benarroch will stop by to say hello to parents and students. After, students will have an opportunity to visit their parent's workspace.
