Biography:

Lauren has spent the last three years as an Art Director and Designer working at digital advertising agencies, and abroad at nonprofit organizations. She has worked with brands like Xbox, GSK, and BMW, helping form digital creative strategies and campaigns from a visual and conceptual perspective. She also works as a Designer and Art Director on an on-going basis with a social enterprise providing marginalized women with dignified employment and access to safe and affordable sanitary product.

Lauren’s current interests in digital media stem from her combined experiences in two very different worlds — advertising and the nonprofit sector. She is interested in applying social innovation and transformation design principles to address some of the greater problems facing nonprofit fundraising and advocacy efforts. She is also interested in exploring the transformative effects of new media on storytelling and building empathy in digital advocacy and fundraising contexts. On top of this, Lauren continues to build on her skills in interaction and user experience design.

Why Digital Media?

There is endless potential within digital media to design a future marked by innovation, equity and equality. I find this incredibly exciting and I look forward to building on existing skills and developing the competencies I need to pursue my own ideas and explorative research in this exciting and fast-paced space.
