Major Research Paper

Based on Shinohara's research 2016, there are 21–33% of adults have at least one tattoo on their body and around 15–20% have two or more tattoos. The prevalence of tattooing continues to rise. Unfortunately, my paper and previous studies show that a lot of people in search of tattoo artists or tattoo shops on current platforms found it hard to gather information or face dead ends while searching for it online. Moreover, people found places that were not reliable and had no proper hygiene/qualifications. Dots app is the solution. Dots is a one-stop platform for tattoo lovers looking for tattoo artists, gathering information, booking tattoo appointments, getting new tattoos and building connections. It allows users to connect and chat directly with tattoo artists, help them to find artists that match their desired style, explore unique tattoo inspiration and interact with the tattoo community. By using this platform, users can go through all the steps before deciding, entering tattoo shops, and arranging tattoo appointments. Have a streamlined process of getting tattoos under a smooth, transparent and trustworthy environment!

She hopes to inspire, empower, and bring light to social issues through her work. As a designer, she enjoys combining digital art and design into one. She believes that good design has a deeper purpose and always challenges the conventional notions of the present and strives towards the innovation of the future.

MDM is the program that shows the opportunity to shape the future of digital media. For me, I value design as a means to communicate meaningful and impactful stories. I believe that digital storytelling through design has the power to identify and connect with an audience to ignite strives toward a better future.
