Biography

Sally is a bilingual multimedia designer currently anchored in the world of eLearning. After exploring various educational and professional paths, she decided to combine her love of art and systems building by pursuing a career in digital media. She draws inspiration from speculative fiction, with a penchant for Afrofuturism, the natural world and human ingenuity.

In her personal time she creates art across disciplines including painting, video work, sewing and sculpture. Her art practice is an extension of her self exploration projects. She like to create pieces that pertain to her current ruminations and that allow her to develop skills she become interested in.

She wants to create work with purpose, work that helps her build strong relationships with communities she find myself in, work that promotes sustainable use of any and all  resources, work that questions our current modes of production, consumption habits and that reveals the world(s) we intend to build for ourselves and future generations.

Why Digital Media?

Digital media is multifaceted and multidisciplinary. At its best, it has the power to connect people from across the world and help overcome barriers posed by more traditional media modes. Sally hopes to explore continue this rich environment, contribute to systems that allow for its responsible use and uncover the many ways we can use it to enhance our lives.
