Bio - Professional

Russell Richman has been consulting in the field of building science for over eight years. His career started in 2000 when he joined Yolles Partnership Inc. as a junior engineer while completing his masters degree. Russell stayed on full-time with Yolles as an intermediate engineer until late 2003 prior to starting his doctoral studies. Throughout these years, Russell gained valuable practical experience with focus on building envelope restoration of existing buildings. His primary projects included such buildings as: 

  • The Better Living Centre (Canadian National Exhibition)
  • Mississauga Civic Centre, Central Library and Living Arts Centre
  • The Canon Theatre (formerly the Pantages Theatre)
  • 1 King Street West (historic portion)
  • Markham Civic Centre
  • First Canadian Place (Bank of Montreal Tower)
  • Royal Bank Building (the "Gold Building")
  • BCE Place

In the early years of his doctoral studies, Russell worked part time for Halcrow Yolles (formerly Yolles Partnership) as a project manager with specialty in curtain wall. During this time, Russell was the lead curtain wall specialist for the New Canadian Embassy in Seoul, South Korea.In addition to these specific projects, Russell has performed over 100 property condition assessments, focussing primarily on building envelope and roofing components.During the latter years of his doctoral studies, Russell founded his own consulting firm - Russell Richman Consulting Ltd. (RRCL). Since 2005, RRCL has completed projects throughout north america, the caribean and asia.  In addition to being.
