Flumox

Experimental Project

Designed and fabricated for the 2016 Toronto Design Offsite Festival, Flummox is a window installation made up of over 300 vinyl records melted into triangular modules that are connected to form an inverted pyramid. The installation is suspended from the ceiling in the front window of Pandemonium, a store in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood that sells new and used books, CDs, DVDs and vinyl records. By transforming old records into art, Flummox celebrates and demonstrates the resurgence of vinyl in the digital era.

Flummox won the Toronto Design Offsite’s People’s Choice Award for best window installation.
