Stomata

Experimental Project

Stomata is the Greek word for “mouth” but also denotes pores found in the epidermis of botanical organisms that control gas exchange. An interactive installation, Stomata changes as viewers come within its proximity and engage with it sensorially. As such, the installation demonstrates how stomata pores respond to oxygen and carbon dioxide levels.
