Experimental Project

DFZ Members from Ryerson’s School of Interior Design designed a seating area for Ryerson’s Launch Zone in the Student Learning Centre (SLC). The seating area plays off the Launch Zone’s existing features and Snohetta’s overarching design concept for the SLC. Raised plinths at various heights provide seating for work, study and social collaboration while glass display units showcase artifacts and promotional material from various zones at Ryerson. Overall the bluffs demonstrate how modern, innovative designs inspire creativity and productivity.
