French Audiovisual Translation
This course introduces students to some of the main linguistic and cultural challenges encountered when working on French-language films, other multimedia content, and audiovisual productions. Through the study and practice of audiovisual translation, this course raises students’ awareness of current issues and debates in the study of dubbing and subtitling and offers new insights into these forms of translation.
