Information regarding curriculum change and calendar submissions for the 2025-2026 academic year coming soon.
This is a Category 3 Minor Modification.
1. Consult with Registrar's Office (RO) Departments.
- Contact the Assistant Registrar, Curriculum Management, and the Director of Admissions and National Recruitment.
- The RO can provide valuable guidance on the operational impacts of your plans.
2. Fill out the (google doc) Curriculum Implementation Summary and Checklist (external link, opens in new window) .
- This will aid in ensuring that all aspects of the implementation are considered.
3. Submit a proposal to the Academic Standards Committee (ASC).
- Contact the Office of the Vice-Provost, Academic, at ovpa.curriculum@torontomu.ca.
- The proposal should contain the following information, as appropriate:
- The existing and the proposed curriculum modification, showing the revisions
- The rationale for the curriculum modification, including information on comparator programs (where relevant)
- Changes to prerequisites, if relevant
- Program learning outcomes
- Consideration of how an EDI/anti-racism lens has been applied to the proposed curriculum modification
- The effect of the proposed curriculum modification on the program learning outcomes, student experience, enrolment targets, retention, and academic standing
- The implementation date and implementation plan, and provisions for retroactivity

4. Submit revised calendar copy.

- Upload your revised calendar copy to your program-specific folder on the shared Google Drive for program submissions.
- We will email instructions for accessing the shared Google Drive each calendar cycle.
