Third year Field Placement: Part-time Program

Build on your experience and training in the field of early childhood by working with children who may have identified disabilities. You will be directly involved in assessing the abilities of children with exceptionalities, and planning and implementing activities that are developmentally appropriate.

Put into practice what you have learned in the classroom about adapting a program that builds on a child's strengths and is responsive to their learning needs. At the same time, you will continue focusing on building supportive building responsive and supportive relationships with families, colleagues and community members.

• Early learning and care programs
• Specialized programs for children with disabilities
• Ryerson Early Learning Centre
• Gerrard Resource Centre
  

Your third-year field education placement will take place for 20 full days.*

*Fall 2020 placements will be completed remotely.  

Note: the prerequisites for this course are CLD 262, CLD 212, CLD 241 or Direct Entry, and the corequisite is CCLD 342.
