What’s the best way to celebrate? With a feature of course!on Meet three incredible women from the Fashion Zone community that inspire us with their tenacity and hard work. It is an honour to have such dedicated and intelligent woman in our community.
We can't let #WomenEntrepreneurshipWeek2019 pass without highlighting Andrea Romero (external link) , one of the founding members and current manager of the Fashion Zone.
Andrea is an entrepreneur turned intrapreneur, mentor and advocate for the Canadian fashion-tech industry. With an MBA in the Management of Technology and Innovation from Ryerson University, she leads the selection committee at the Fashion Zone and oversees operations for a community of 140 members and the internal #FashionZone team. She is in her third year as a partial load Digital Marketing professor and holds several advisory/board positions.
Andrea is a frequent guest speaker and panelist for local Universities/Colleges and start-up events and continues to build the Fashion Zone community and inspire both her students and her team!
Next, meet Fashion Zone Advisor and Founder of Froese Law (external link) , Ashlee Froese. Ashlee Froese is lawyer and trademark agent, who is recognized by the Law Society of Ontario as a Certified Specialist in Trademarks Law. With over 10 years’ experience practicing branding and fashion law, Ashlee provides a deep understanding of brand protection strategies.
Ashlee manages, enforces, commercializes and protects clients' brands domestically and internationally., Ashleewas 1 of the 39 lawyers across Canada to be granted the Lexpert Zenith Award for being a change-maker in law. She is also a City Moguls award recipient for her entrepreneurship and dedication to philanthropy.
Last but certainly not least, meet #FashionZone member Kathleen Chan, the co-founder of Finley Jewelry, a company that thoughtfully designs jewelry for women. In just 2 years, Finley has grown and continues to grow exponentially.
Kathleen is also the co-founder of Benchwork, a software ecosystem designed to help facilitate responsible manufacturing.
