Established by a team of researchers across several departments in the Faculty of Arts, the Ryerson University Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Studies Centre is devoted to the culture, history, literature, politics, and societies in the Middle East and North Africa and of diasporic populations from the MENA region in North America and Europe.

Our Goals

MENA community goals

The MENA Studies Centre embraces interdisciplinary research and teaching within the Faculty of Arts, opens in new window and across other faculties at Ryerson University, opens in new window, as well as beyond Ryerson, and will actively seek partnerships with the broader community. Our goal is to open up new perspectives on the MENA region and its interdependence with other world cultures.
