Guides to Open

Now is the Time for Open Educational Resources is an in-progress (open creation) book that lists a broad range of open educational resources organized by disciplines taught at TMU.

Toronto Metropolitan University Open Moments is a book that describes the journeys of eight educators who came to discover open education through projects in which they developed open educational resources. 

The Public Domain Core Collection consists of a collection of over 50 public domain texts and a faculty guidebook for using those texts either as standalone resources or as the basis of open assignments.

Open Textbooks

Open Educational Resources are freely available to students. They are also licensed in such a way that you can take and adapt these texts for use in your own classroom as long as you credit the original authors. The Toronto Metropolitan University Library has published a range of titles. Over 125 of them can be found  on the TMU Pressbooks site.
