Spring/Summer 2021 offering of BUS 800: Strategic Management

The Strategic Management course (BUS 800) is available during the Spring/Summer semester to Business Management students who meet the following criteria:

  1. AFF 310 or FIN 401 has been successfully completed, and
  2. the student has declared a Major.

Note, priority of enrolment for the Spring/Summer sections of BUS 800 is for students who will qualify to graduate for the upcoming Fall Convocation in October. Thereafter, other students will be enrolled, space permitting.

BUS 800 can be taken with other outstanding courses in the same semester. For example, if a student has BUS 800, a Required course and an Upper Level Liberal outstanding, the student must first enrol in the remaining courses prior to requesting to be enrolled in BUS 800.

Priority of enrolment for this special Spring/Summer offering is available for students who will be eligible to graduate in the Fall 2021 Convocation in October. Thereafter, other students who request enrolment will be enrolled, space permitting. Students must be in the Business Management program, have declared their Major, and have successfully completed one of the prerequisite courses, AFF 310 or FIN 401, or an equivalent.

Starting on Monday, March 8, students can submit an online request to be manually enrolled for this course. The google formenrolment request form, external link, opens in new window and email blasts will go out to students advising them of this. Our offices will begin responding to and processing the online requests in priority sequence on Thursday, April 8. Thereafter, all requests will be processed for qualified students within three (3) business days of being received. Students have until Friday, May 14 to request enrolment in BUS 800.

The Business Management office will begin processing all requests received on Thursday, April 8. A manual audit of the student’s Advisement Report will be done by staff to ensure that the student has already completed, or is enrolled in, all other courses required for graduation except BUS 800. Students will receive email confirmation if they have passed the Advisement Report audit and have been enrolled in BUS 800. Students who are not qualified to graduate in the Fall Convocation may still be enrolled, space permitting, once graduating students have been enrolled.

Processing of all requests will begin on Thursday, April 8, 2021.
