Interior Design alum Holly Beingessner designs backpack with an impact

Interior Design alum, Holly Beingessner, shares her academic and entrepreneurial journey from conceptualizing the product to realizing an idea she researched as part of her final thesis project: an environmentally friendly backpack that offers a stylish solution to transporting temperature-sensitive medication. Her product will address the current lack of options and provide a solution to a critical need.

Holly’s passion for eco-friendly design was further spurred after finding herself in an unexpected emergency situation in 2020. Since then, with the help of the Fashion Zone (opens in new window)  and the RISE Program (opens in new window) , Holly has transformed her innovative concept into a promising prototype and business opportunity.
