Sarah Elton

Dr. Sarah Elton

Sarah Elton researches food sovereignty and works at the intersection of food systems, the environment and health. She has taught at the University of Toronto's New College and the Munk School of Global Affairs. Her doctoral work looks at the human-nature relationship in the context of health in food-producing gardens in Toronto. Elton is also the author of several bestselling books about food including Consumed: Food for a Finite Planet (University of Chicago Press) and she is a member of the Toronto Food Policy Council.
