How is Ted Rogers Co-op different?

Our prep program has been developed in close collaboration with industry leaders. Before your first work term, you will become Excel certified, in addition to completing personality profiles and live actor industry simulations.

In addition, you will be paired with a peer mentor, a senior co-op student, who will support you through your first job search.

You will also have access to 1:1 coaching five days a week, and have the opportunity to complete over 30 technical bootcamps, all designed to address the current needs of employers.

Thanks to a generous donation from the Scotiabank Changemakers Fund, TRSM students have access to co-op opportunities in non-profit sectors, allowing you to gain professional experience and make a difference.

Applying for a co-op work term mimics any other job application process. It is a competitive process and prepares you for the employment market after graduation.

We have greater flexibility for employers hiring outside of the traditional co-op model. This flexibility means students can take on 8, 12 and 16 month work terms.

Co-op wages range from minimum wage up to $30 per hour*, depending on your program of study and the type of organization you work for.

*Estimated based on comparable wages of co-op students across Ontario.

Co-op helps differentiate my skill set and give me an edge, with real-world experience so I can hit the ground running when I graduate. It's also a great opportunity to expand my network within the industry.
