Update on Summer 2021
Updated: June 18, 2021
We are pleased to announce in-person camps have been approved by Ryerson University to run! This means that (assuming public health conditions continue to improve) camp will return to Ryerson campus! Of course, there is a mountain of work ahead of us to get this program launched, but we're excited to share that we officially have the green light to get busy.
Assuming everything goes according to plan, this summer our program will feature:
- Virtual camps running throughout July & August
- Multi-Sport Camp in-person
- Architecture Camp in-person
Registration will open Monday, June 21st at 8:00 p.m.
If you would like to be the first to hear about updates to our program, you can join our mailing list, external link! And if you have any questions about our programs, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
With Ontario having entered Step 1 in the Roadmap to Reopen, external link, day camps are now permitted to operate with restrictions. Ryerson Day Camps are committed to closely following the regulations and guidelines set forth by the Ministry of Health. Examples of this include: the use of consistent cohorts and physical distancing, masks, daily screening, and proper disinfecting procedures.
With the continuation of vaccine roll-out and decreasing case counts, things are beginning to look up. However, this does not mean we will take any precautions lightly. We will ensure that the operation of in-person camps does not pose any increased risk to those participating.
We know that summer fun starts and ends with safety, so you can be sure that in-person camps will only run if it is safe to do so.
Impact on Virtual Camps
Not to worry - virtual camps are still a "Go" for July and August! We understand that in-person camps are not for everyone; whether you're far from Toronto, you're not comfortable with an in-person program yet, or you just love the convenience of a virtual camp, we've got you covered!
All virtual camps combine live and asynchronous learning, movement breaks, and community-building to deliver an unparalleled camp experience from the comfort of your home. But that's not all - several virtual programs now feature camp kits delivered right to your door at no charge!
From science and robots to design and film, we have a virtual camp for you!
