The CERC in Migration and Integration supports graduate students and emerging research scholars with research training opportunities. The Migration Research Gyms provide specialized methodology and professional development training through intensive workshops. The small class setting emphasizes mentorship and hands-on learning.
The current fall program includes the following sessions:
- The method of narrative biographic interview: Nuances of data collection and analysis, October 09, 2020
- Data analytics for the social sciences using R, October 16, 2020
- Getting your research work known: How to write an effective policy brief, October 23, 2020
- Qualitative interviews: Design, recruitment, ethics and conducting, October 30, 2020
Each workshop will have a regular price of $100, with a discounted fee for students of $20.
Due to these uncertain times, we are offering these workshops free of charge.
