Clinical Skills I
This course is an introduction to midwifery clinical skills and competencies, in preparation for the first midwifery clinical placement. Students will be introduced to a variety of skills utilized in prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care, including vital signs, physical assessment of the pregnant person and newborn physical assessment, collection of laboratory specimens and universal precautions.
