FEAS Graduate Student Symposium 2017

This symposium brings graduate students together from all FEAS disciplines to connect over the theme of “Innovation in Sustainability.” The all-day event features a public speaking workshop from Ryerson Toastmasters and a poster competition that puts student research and design projects front and centre. Students will also have the opportunity to present their research findings to an interdisciplinary audience.

Keynote speakers will share their views on the best approaches to job searching and developing essential transferable skills. All distinguished Ryerson alumni, the speakers include:

  • Engineer for Toronto Water Natasha Jansen (Chemical Engineering)
  • Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus, Dr. Lukas Bichler, PhD (Mechanical Engineering)
  • Senior Director at Hire Results Ltd. Paul Vassiliou (Civil Engineering)
