I am the former director of the Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing at Toronto Metropolitan University and the Ryerson, Centennial, George Brown Collaborative Nursing Degree Program.  I have served as chair of the Council of University Programs in Nursing, chair of the Council of University Programs in Nursing Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner provincial consortium, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing.

I am a Registered Nurse with an MScN in Nursing Administration and Education from the University of Western Ontario, an MEd in Adult Education from Brock University, and a PhD in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto.  My scholarship focus of interest is nursing leadership and program evaluation.

My extensive nursing experience includes years in adult critical care, administration, and nursing and health care affiliated education.  I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honour Society of Nursing, a founding member of the organization which laid foundational roots for the Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurses and was, for many years, the educational liaison on the Advisory Board of the Ontario Peri-Anesthesia Nurses Association.  I have served in a variety of consultative capacities for numerous nursing management, nursing practice and allied health care professional academic programs.

I have received significant recognition for my professional academic contributions from the university, the Council of Ontario University Schools in Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honour Society, Lambda Pi-At-Large Chapter, and the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing.
