Training for instructors

The DMP provides a number of D2L Brightspace training options for staff and faculty.

Please review the list of training options below. Click for details of the training, registration and schedule (where applicable).

How do I register?

You can register to one of our upcoming sessions through the Learning Events Calendar. All sessions require registration, except for the Troubleshooting Drop-in Clinic.

New workshop sessions for Winter 2020 have been scheduled! Please check the Learning Events Calendar for details.

What is a troubleshooting drop-in?

This is not a workshop, but brief one-on-one time focused on addressing a specific task or challenge in the setup of your D2L course shell.

Due to the time limitations, we cannot cover a full introduction during this time, and recommend attending a workshop if you have never used Brightspace at Ryerson before.

 To participate, you will need:

  • A current course shell. If you don't have one yet, please request your course shell now. (Or, this can be the task we complete during your visit with us)
  • Your my.ryerson username and password - make sure you can login before coming!
  • Your two-factor authentication device (mobile, U2F or OTV generator) or backup codes.

PLEASE NOTE:

At this time, DMP staff are working off campus, so we cannot meet with instructors in person.

Please email courses@ryerson.ca with your questions or problem details, your contact information, and a preferred day/time when we can arrange a video chat with you to provide support.
