Summer Checklist

 1. Explore the First-Year Engineering Office website. 

 2. Sign up for one of our Pre-Orientation programs (optional).

 3. Send in your final transcript and check
your application status.

 4.  Apply for government student loans/OSAP (optional).

 5.  Get your OneCard (student ID)

 6.  Register for Engineering Boost Program (optional).

 7. Create your online identity.

 8.  Check your fall schedule and enroll in your Liberal Studies course (optional).

In response to COVID-19, opens in new window, the First-Year Engineering Office is temporarily closed for in-person inquiries.  However, all of the office's resources have moved online.  Student Advising will continue to be available weekdays through Zoom.

About the First-Year Engineering Office

The First-Year Engineering Office (FYEO) handles all academic and administrative matters associated with your first year of engineering at Ryerson University. We are your ultimate first-year resource! Our mission is to help make your transition from high school to university a smooth, pleasant, and successful one. To do this, we provide student-oriented services, including our extensive offering of orientation events that begin in the summer and run right into the fall term. We also offer customized first-year engineering supports like tutoring, study groups, study halls, personalized study plans depending on your needs, and much more!

Our award-winning team is available to provide you with support and guidance every step of the way. We are committed to helping you reach your academic and career goals. We are available weekdays, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm for student advising assistance at our Virtual Advising Room, external link. Academic Advising appointments can also be booked through our Virtual Advising Room, external link and set up according to your preference for telephone or online sessions.
