CCS Scheduled Maintenance and Outages

Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of activities necessary to keep information and technology services running, such as software patches, fixes and upgrades, hardware upgrade. Additional outages may occur as a result of unforeseen hardware or software issues. In these cases, CCS strives to provide as much notice as possible.

No alternate service will be available if a system or an application is not available due to the scheduled maintenance or outage, unless explicitly indicated in the table bellow for the particular system/application.

    Updating security patches and HW updates on ESX and VMs. (RFC-382)
    User Impact: None expected. VMs will be rebooted during HW upgrade, by coordinating with end users.
  • Friday, January 19, 8:45 AM to 10:15 AM
    Deploying new DDPE client to CCS computers. (RFC-378)
    User Impact: Update will install silently in the back ground. A reboot may be needed.
  • Friday, January 19, 10:00 AM to 10:15 AM
    Adding serveral HTTP response headers to the International Mobility website. (RFC-388)
    User Impact: The website will not be available for 5-10 minutes for all users (students) applying for exchange.
  • Sunday, January 21, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
    Upgrading network stack of YDI for Finance. (RFC-376)
    User Impact: No wired or wireless network or phone service available on this floor.

 

 

Future/Pending Changes

  • Saturday, February 10, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
    Applying Oracle critical patch update to Financial Systems. (RFC-390)
    User Impact: All RUFIS services and the database will be unavailable during this update.
