CCS Scheduled Maintenance and Outages

Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of activities necessary to keep information and technology services running, such as software patches, fixes and upgrades, hardware upgrade. Additional outages may occur as a result of unforeseen hardware or software issues. In these cases, CCS strives to provide as much notice as possible.

No alternate service will be available if a system or an application is not available due to the scheduled maintenance or outage, unless explicitly indicated in the table below for the particular system/application.

    Updating unmanaged networks.

    Upgrading Adobe Connect production system.
    User Impact: Users will not be able to access/use webinar.ryerson.ca for up to 48 hours.
  • Tuesday, December 18, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
    Upgrading blog.ryerson.ca.
    User Impact: No access to the server for 5 minutes during this period.
  • Tuesday, December 18, 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
    Updating ryecast production server.
    User Impact: Access to ryecast will be intermittent during this period.

    Upgrading all network edge and distribution switches.
    User Impact: Brief outages (<5 minutes) are expected to wired, wireless and telephony services throughout campus

    Allowing users to register for mobile two-factor on CAS.
    User Impact: Access to CAS may be intermittent.
