CCS Scheduled Maintenance and Outages

Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of activities necessary to keep information and technology services running, such as software patches, fixes and upgrades, hardware upgrade. Additional outages may occur as a result of unforeseen hardware or software issues. In these cases, CCS strives to provide as much notice as possible.

No alternate service will be available if a system or an application is not available due to the scheduled maintenance or outage, unless explicitly indicated in the table below for the particular system/application.

Additional Scheduled Changes

  • Wednesday, May 15, 10:00 p.m. to Wednesday, May 29, 11:59 p.m.
    Updating firmware on network switches across campus.
    User Impact: The upgrade and outage for each stack/location will take upward of 30 minutes. There will be no security, BAS, wired, wireless or VoIP/SIP telephone networks available in the announced locations during the upgrade time. Announcements will be done via MAFs and direct e-mail communication with affected faculty, admin areas, etc.
  • Thursday, May 16, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    Enabling secondary instructor webservice.
    User Impact: There will be an outage of 2 hrs to accommodate this change and clients have notified their users.  
  • Friday, May 17, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.
    Upgrading Tomcat on ADS production server.
    User Impact: No access to the following apps during this period:

    Upgrading HR server.
    User Impact: eHR will be down during the outage times.
