BC Regional WEKH Hub launches at Simon Fraser University's VentureLabs

The BC Regional Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub at Simon Fraser University's VentureLabs held its first event on June 4, 2019, bringing together nearly 100 women entrepreneurship support organizations, entrepreneurs, academics and government representatives to exchange ideas and hear from a panel of experts about building the capacity for women entrepreneurship in Canada. Erin Roach, Executive Director of the Diversity Institute introduced the Women Entrepreneurship Hub (WEKH) (external link)  to attendees while the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business and Export Promotions, made an announcement about a $16.1 million investment in Canadian women entrepreneurs. The Women Entrepreneurship Hub (WEKH), (external link)  an initiative led by the Diversity Institute at Ryerson University in partnership with Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management and Brookfield Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to address the needs of diverse women entrepreneurs across regions and across sectors.
