Anza Syed
Computer Engineering, 3rd year

Congratulations and welcome to Ryerson! I am delighted that you have chosen to become a part of the Ryerson Engineering community.

Whether it’s on-campus Bio-Hacks or working under Habitat for Humanity in Nepal, count me in! I love indulging in activities that range beyond just Computer Engineering. I believe we should extract as much as we can from every situation placed before us – and that’s truly what I live by!

Currently, I am involved with Women in Engineering and I am the Vice President of Communications for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Ryerson Chapter. Every now and then, I’ll even drop by some of the Poetry Slams! I encourage you all to get out and become involved in clubs and activities that are both relevant and contrasting to your fields; it truly helps both your academic and personal growth.

In general, you’ll struggle, you’ll strive, and you’ll learn to get by. Either way, it will be full of new and exciting experiences. Just remember, don’t be scared to dive in and contact me if you need any sort of help!
