Joe Zboralski Teaching and Community Engagement Award Recipients

The Joe Zboralski Commemorative award recognizes a CUPE Unit 1 and/or CUPE Unit 2 member that has demonstrated leadership through teaching and impact on community engagement, internally or externally to Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). 

An award recipient will receive a certificate of recognition and a monetary award of $2,500 as a one-time payment (subject to applicable deductions).

Ross Fair's commitment to community-based learning, partnerships with a variety of local heritage organizations, and dedication to mentoring his CUPE colleagues render him a fitting ambassador for Joe Zboralski's inspiring legacy. Through his regular his course offerings, supervision of student-based projects undertaken on his own time, and membership on the boards of Toronto cultural institutions, Ross connects students and colleagues with professionals and thought leaders in our community. He is a tireless advocate for CUPE instructors, and has helped set many of his students on the path to rewarding careers dedicated to preserving and enhancing our civic and cultural heritage.
