Vice Chair, Board Appointee

Catherine Paisley is the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at the Ontario Science Centre. Catherine began serving on the University’s Board of Governors in 2016 as an alumni representative and was elected to the role of Vice Chair in 2022. Catherine was a member of the University’s Alumni Association Board from 2018-2020 and currently sits on the Faculty of Science Dean’s Advisory Council. Catherine’s board experience includes the role of President of the Canadian Association of Science Centres (CASC), a national umbrella organization promoting the advancement of informal science learning in Canada and helping to profile Canada as a leader in this regard. Catherine is also involved with the international Association of Science and Technology Centres, located in Washington DC, where she sits on the Social Justice & Racial Equity Task Force and previously held the role of Editorial Advisor for its publication, Dimensions.  Catherine graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University’s School of Business in 1990 and in 1996 completed a Master of Education degree from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.
