Message from Vice-Provost and Dean, Jennifer Mactavish

Creative, connected and entrepreneurial; graduate education at Ryerson puts you at the core of what’s next. Ryerson’s graduate programs are distinctive and offer an outstanding student-centred experience where innovative and creative perspectives in relation to real-world questions are valued.

Toronto is in the 'Dish With One Spoon Territory’. The Dish With One Spoon is a treaty between the Anishinaabe, Mississaugas and Haudenosaunee that bound them to share the territory and protect the land. Subsequent Indigenous Nations and peoples, Europeans and all newcomers have been invited into this treaty in the spirit of peace, friendship and respect. Read the full Ryerson Land Acknowledgement.

Strategic Plan

Building upon Our Time to Lead, the university’s Academic Plan, the YSGS Strategic Plan outlines four key priorities over the next five years.

Graduate education at Ryerson University is overseen by The Council of the School of Graduate Studies. The council deals with such issues as the development and evaluation of new graduate programs and policy that is relevant to graduate programs and students. The council is comprised of the dean of graduate studies as well as affiliated faculty members from each of Ryerson’s faculties, graduate program directors and students.
